Today one of my co-workers who happens to be from Jamaica brought in some bottles of Hot Sauce. She had bought them and found them to be too hot for her taste. She told me, knowing I like Hot Sauce, that if I tried it and liked it I could have all of the bottles.
I pulled out a bottle and opened it, giving it a sniff as she and her friends looked on smiling. (One of them made the comment that there was no way I would like it as they all knew Americans can't deal with good Hot Sauces.) I found the scent to be a bit boring, no bite to it. I dabbed a bit of it on my finger to give it a taste. I couldn't taste a damned thing. I then put a couple of drops on some scrambled eggs I was eating and gave it a try that way. Yawn!!!!!
I pulled out a bottle of my homebrew, the stuff called Dragons Sweat by my father and offered them a taste of it. They sprinkled it on their food just before they watched in horror as I dumped half of the bottle of their stuff on my eggs. Their eyes opened even more as I started shoveling in the eggs, stopping only long enough to add a bit of salt and pepper while commenting that the "Sauce" was a bit bland.
I left the bag containing the other bottles of the Hot Sauce in our dining room for others to try. It was too bland and too mild for my taste. As for my co-worker and her friends? They couldn't finish their eggs claiming the Hot Sauce I had given them was too hot for any of them. They couldn't believe it when I poured a bit of Dragons Sweat into a small cup and dipped my Bacon in it, and did so without sweating. (Well, they were sweating watching me, but I wasn't sweating.)
