Well actually by their threads.

We are looking at getting some weather here over the next couple of days so my wife and I decided to head down to a local beach today. This is a fairly popular beach and usually has plenty of people so I can enjoy people watching.

Well after reading Pure and R. Richard's threads I decided to keep track of a couple of things. I was amazed.

I broke the people there down into three groups. Those that looked above 16, those who looked younger than 16 and those who I couldn't tell.

I kind of watched those under 16.

On the beach during the short time I was there I saw 27 young girls wearing either Tonga or Thong Bikini's. (One was wearing what can only be described as a G-String.) Several were walking around wearing tight T-Shirts, usually wet.

Their parents? They seemingly didn't care. They lay there on the beach and just watched as their kids wandered around if they were even watching.

I do have to warn you. It is illegal to beat their parents.

On the other hand the young ladies over the age of twenty and under the age of eighty did look mighty fine in their thongs.

I suspect that it is really not practical for the parents to care. If a lot of the young girls are wearing really skimpy bathing suits [a wet t-shirt is a really skimpy bathing suit for the purposes of this discussion,] then all of the girls who have the looks will want to show what they have. If you see pictures of beach areas from the 50s, the girls look like they are contemplating an arctic expedition. Over the course of the years, the bathing suits get smaller until they qute literally can't get any smaller and minimally cover what they are intended to cover. Then, the coverage picks up a bit, but the 'coverage' is often see-through fabric, at least when wet.

I lived at a few beaches and, in a couple of cases, they had girls going topless in such numbers that they couldn't arrest them. Eventually things were settled so that topless was restricted to certain, usually isolated beaches. San Diego has to be one of the most uptight ciities along the coast of the US, but Blacks' Beach has been a nude beach, at least on and off, for many years.
