I just got a nice fb.

It made me wonder: Which works of fiction have made you actually lol?

The one that immediately springs to my mind for me is Spike Milligan's "Puckoon". But mostly all I can muster is a snort or a snigger.

Damn few, and I can't remember which ones, off hand. On the other hand, my Penguin Dictionary of Quotations contains a few Spoonerisms. I always end up laughing if I try to read them aloud.

"Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams

I laughed often and out-loud. It still makes me laugh at improbable moments. :D

Yui ^_^

Me too! :)

Also the whole Sam vs Mr Door/Mr Hand/Mr Car (or whatever their names were) conversation from the same book had me laughing so hard my side hurt.

I'm sorry I don't have the book here, my sis is borrowing it, or I'd recite the whole thing.

Also, Terry Pratchett's 'Soul Music'.

"We cannot fail, we're on a mission from Glod."

Yeah I know. I'm easily amused.

Can't think of a novel per se, and my memory is a . . . um, hmm, oh ya, funniest article was Bret Easton Ellis's take on smurfs, and I KNOW it's posted on two threads here somewhere.

Otherwise a short story by Lisa Archer called 'Loved it and set it free' in the short story book, Best Lesbian Erotica 04.

Edit: teletubbies, not smurfs, god damn memory!!!
