Well this should be interesting. Last night, (Sunday) I submitted my newest story. (Nothing overly interesting there, it's not my first and wont be my last.) What will be interesting is seeing how long it takes to get posted, and/or if it gets posted.

The reason for the question on my part as to it getting posted is not so much the quality of the story, (I think it's pretty good, as do the two people I had read and critique it before I submited.) It's because the content is a bit more extreme than I usually write. If it doesn't get accepted I know I will be slightly disapointed, but I'll know why it wasn't accepted. (If it doesn't get accepted and there are any people here who are interested in it I will gladly send it to them.)

Now for the waiting game to see what happens.

Ooooh. Extreme, eh? In what way?

(Let me know when it's up.)

Best of luck, Seacat. I know the difficulty of that wait. In fact, they played a particularly nice joke on my last one ... after I sweated for days in agonies over whether it would be rejected for inappropriate content (two editors swore it would), they sent it back for ... having paragraphs that were too long. Merry pranksters :) In the end, it posted, though - and I very much think yours will too.

I went through something similar. I wrote a non consent story at someones request. I knew it probably wouldn't get posted on LIT, but I submitted it just the same.

I think it was rejected in about 2 days. LOL

Having read them both...I don't think Cat stands a chance...

Sorry Cat. :rose:

Thanks all for the kind comments. I'll let you know what happens. I have a hard time thinking it will be accepted due to the content of the story. (It's a Non-Consent/Erotic Horror about the tables getting turned.)

The story wasn't easy for me to write, as those of you who have read some of my comments here may well imagine, but it was interesting and a learning experience. Not to mention a nice expirement in widening my horizons in writing.

Elizabeth, no apologies needed. I know the chances are slim, and if the powers that be reject it, well I can understand. (Besides, it is their board after all. :D ) Thanks for reading it and helping me with it. The same to you as well Shang.
