Ok, so I never thought I'd be actively posting on any message board let alone this one.
And when the one Lit member I DID contact tried to explain to me about the community around here, how people actually cared about and for one another and it wasn't ALL sex and games, I didn't really buy it.
But I was bored, so I started posting, and at first I'm thinking...this is fun....these people are interesting....but I still didn't get it.
For the past couple of weeks I've been looking - really looking - at the board. There are people here who are sick, people who are living through tragedies and, most importantly, people here who care about them. Friendly ears and helping hands and I am really....impressed.
So thanks, I'm rarely so pleased to be so wrong.

I know what you mean. A great deal more actual THINKING happens here than in most places. And maybe that's due to the variety of ages and lifestyles represented? I don't know, but it's a blast. I enjoy it.

When I first came here, I was sent by a friend.. a horny friend, but a friend nonetheless. And so I came for the erotic lit, and so I could tell stories, and learn a little about sex. But like you, I've been so thrilled to learn that there's a real community here, and that we can depend on each other in small ways, as friends can. I've had some wonderful people here help me through issues, and I'm glad that I could be there for other people when they cried out for help.

I was kind of standoffish when I was refered to this site by my husband who has spent hours and hours lately visiting it. I admit it I was really jealous he has spent most of his days off here and not much time with me. However, I was concentrating on my school work and just missed him since he usually sat near me while I studied and watched TV. Well with it being the end of semester things are chaotic and he found a way to laugh. So in tha last few days in a few spare moments of time I have had I have surfed through the threads and really became amazed and had a few really good laughs also. Thanks to all for being so kind and helpful. I am less stressed and have something else to add to my day.
