this new look is nice but it hurts because it ate my last post on one of the threads I'm in

Plus you can't do a search on yourself anymore to find your posts that the last post column says is there but not in the thread.

Plus Your friends list is totally vanished.

I wish there wqas an option for this new way or the old way. Cause I'd pick the old it was more user friendly.

Not trying to hurt anyone's feelings just speaking the truth in my opinion.

What does everyone else think?

The same thing has happened to me, with my last post disappearing from at least one of the threads I am in.

The buddy list is still available, just go to the quick links section to find it.

The search function is being worked on, and should be working again sometime soon.

Manu has said in the announcement forum, that they will be working on a new skin that will resemble the old format.

I really hated this new format at first, but found a skin that made things easier for me. I still don't like it, especially the pm functions, but I am adapting to it. Some of the new functions are cool.

No offence intended, you have my full sympathies since it seems to have eaten posts from about 4-5 of my threads. OUCH!

We can only hope that if they do update it again the same doesn't happen.. and of course be grateful for the speed with which they have resolved many of the issues that occurred.

My buddy LittleGary, can't even log on. You can see on some threads that he was suposedly the last to post, but when you go to the last post, its not his.

I think this new format is a classic case of fixing something that worked just fine and didn't need to be fixed.

I don't care for most of the aspects, although a couple like choosing fonts is nice as well as knowing how many PM's are in the mailbox and it's capacity. Now if I can just figure out how to delete selected PM's w/o having to get rid of allll of them or do it one by one by one....

If that pharking bananna keeps up that annoying as hell bobbing and weaving where I Have To See It I may shoot my monitor or spray paint that area.

I hope it reverts to something more like we used to have very quickly before I reach my frustration limit.

All I've spoken with like some aspects, but thus far the general opinion has been very negative.

Lost posts, CP needing to open a separate window to see who's online, etc all build the frustration level.

i miss the link to go to user control panel, now i have to scroll through a drop down menu to get there and even then it won't let me see posts from last 2,5,10 days

Is there a way to have your buddy list show on your user control panel. It used to be you could and then you would know who on oyur buddy list was online and who was not?

The only way I've found so far jushorny is the Quick Link way. I don't like that left hand menu instead of the buddy list either. I reply to those showing logged in first and it was much easier to select which you wanted to PM to also with it was "just over there on the left" where it was easily seen.

I don't like it! I even lost my name! *pouts* I mean....haven't had to sign on in years since I used cookies. Made up a new name and came into Lit expecting it to be as it was and was surprised to find this new format. I don't like it one bit! Although I do like the idea of having an AV before 100 posts. hehe. I can't even find a skin I like. If there were a purple or pink....maybe it would be cool. I guess this is a case of suck it up and live w/ it. *shurgs* Hope it will become user friendly here!

The new system was a bit challenging at first, but now seeming to get teh hang of it. Although I didnt use some of those features of the old system..

But you have to open the thread to get to the thread tools

Bottom Box is Misc. Options

In there you have two settings for edit options. Basic and some enhanced settings. If you put it on "Basic Editor- A simple text box" you will get rid of the banana and faces. If you know the codes to type them without seeing them, then you just change the editor to Basic.
