i'm not sure what to think of this, and i'm definately not a virgin.
i've posted before about his premature ejaculation and everyones input helped quite a bit, we've tried new techniques and i believe we're 'over coming' it.
Last night we got a hotel, he came then a little bit later we went at it again.
I was riding him pretty hard and on one thrust - it hurt like Hell! i had to stop.
I went into the bathroom and checked myself over to make sure i wasnt bleeding because i had no idea what had happened. It wasnt the first time i had riden him so it hurting like that is completely beyond me.
After about an hour or so we started at it again, this time with him on top.
I told him not to go all the way in so he didnt. but - it still hurt. it wasnt the sharp pain that i had the first time but it was still very noticable.
This morning before we left the hotel, we decided to have some more fun.
Still hurt like hell during the entire thing.

What could have happened?

was there anything different or new in the equation? maybe if you were using different condoms than your norm, perhaps it was an allergic reaction to the lubricant?

It sounds to me like you just bruised your cervix or something. Just give your pussy a couple days off from fucking and it should be fine. It's not like you can't have sex without penetration. ;)

I agree with Infinity. Sometimes on top the cervix is a little more vulnerable. Take a few days off and try again. BUT, if you're still having pain, see a doc, just in case.

its not like a burning sensation or anything its like a sharp pain. like i was kicked in the crotch.

so its not like i'm damaged goods now? It'll heal?

Yep, I agree with others, sounds like a bruised cervix. You might also be one of the afflicted ones like me who have a tilted uterus which makes it painful if anyone goes too deep.

Another thought is that I felt that kind of sharp, kick me in the crotch pains once when I had an ovarian cyst. So, if the pain persists, definitely see a doc. If it goes away after a few days on the bench, you can probably chuck it up to being a little too rough ;)

sorry to bump old thread but i wanted to make sure people knew of my original post before posting this. And yes i know this post is a little to much detail but its kind of necessary for my question.

The original post happened a little over a week ago. My period started on monday, 3-4 days after the op happened, and has been extremely light. Normal timing just a lot weaker than it normally is.
Its normally relatively heavy - as in, changing tampons at least every hour to hour and a half. And sleepin with tampon + pad to prevent leakage. This time - i still changed the tampons like normal out of habit, but there was literally no reason to change it. Its more like spotting than an actual period.
Could my original post be the cause of this or should i get a pregnancy test.
I do have the IUD for pregnancy prevention, so we dont use a condom or any other form of prevention. Which i'm starting to see that we should.
I've had the IUD for 4 years, i've never had any scares.
Help me out, i'm a little freaked out about this and unsure what to think.

Kitten's correct. Even a doctor wouldn't dare diagnose or advise you without examining you first. I strongly suggest you go and see your GP or OBGYN ASAP.

I'd have to go with the whole seeing a doctor thing as well.

So, how did you heal up from the original pain incident, though?

If nothing else, go see your doc to have your IUD's position and everything checked. There's no sense in worrying when a simple exam and blood test could remove all doubt about the IUD's efficacy and your status.

Good luck and let us know how it goes! :)

i feel fine - although i havent had sex since - at first it was because i wanted to heal - then mother nature kicked in. and i wont see him again for a few more days and maybe not even have sex then because mother nature still hates me.

well before most of you replied i called planned parenthood and got an appointment on friday.
I'll let you all know the results, wish me luck that i'm not preggers. Right now i dont think i could handle another child financially or emotionally.

Then on the bright side for you, it looks like there's a pretty good chance the IUD itself or its removal could terminate the pregnancy naturally. And beyond that, you certainly have other options if you are pregnant. Cross that bridge if you come to it, and Planned Parenthood is certainly a good place to get info if you are pregnant (or even just concerned about the possibility).

Kudos for knowing your limitations and putting the best interest of any potential child first. The world would be a far better place if everyone did the same. :rose:

My wife got pregnant while using an IUD. The biggest threat to your health if you are pregnant is an ectopic pregnancy, which might explain your sharp pain. You might consider skipping PP and heading to your OBGYN instead. She will most likely order an ultrasound to eliminate the possibility.

I don't agree at all with Erica's post, however I can't see how debating that helps you so I'll leave it at that.

No, please feel free to elaborate on which part(s) you disagree with because I'm failing to see the controversy in the following:

You don't agree the IUD poses risks to a pregnancy?

You don't agree Cryforme has options if she is pregnant?

You don't agree Planned Parenthood can review those options and other info with her in a less biased way than, say, the local "health center" that only offers info on going through the entire pregnancy?

You don't agree that people should know their limitations before they commit to parenthood? Or that Cryforme is being responsible and mature for recognizing her own roadblocks to being a good parent to additional kids?

It assume it was probably the advice about removing the IUD possibly terminating the pregnancy. That's a pretty hot button concept.

which is true..
approx 80% of pregnancies that occur with an IUD the child is A: Terminated by removal. B: Damaged by removal.
the 20% is the percent that survive the removal and are born normal with no physical / mental disabilities.

I'm not sure if those %'s are true, i found it on a site a while back and the numbers just stuck with me.

I don't doubt the numbers. What I meant was, he probably doesn't agree with erika mentioning that it will probably terminate a potential pregnancy. The only thing I can see as possibly disagreeable is if you're anti abortion.

The American Congress of OBGYNs web page says http://www.acog.org/publications/patient_education/BP014.cfm

If the IUD is removed soon after conception, the risks caused by having the IUD in place are decreased. If the IUD remains in place, there are increased risks to the mother and fetus, including increased risk of miscarriage, infection, or preterm birth. If pregnancy occurs, there is also an increased risk that it will be an ectopic pregnancy. However, pregnancy may go to term with an IUD in place. If you are using an IUD and think you may be pregnant, talk to your doctor about your options and risks.

Warning Signs
These symptoms may signal there is a problem with your IUD. Call your doctor if you have any of the following symptoms:

  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Pain during sex
  • A missed period or other signs of pregnancy
