The first time I had norovirus, i was home alone with two small children. I remember walking towards them, passing out, coming to on the floor, and them being too ill to even notice. And that was just noro.
One of the horror moments in any parent's life is being too ill to properly look after their kids. It's a crappy situation, and I really feel for those families who are dealing with it now.

Going out to get a test just increases the chances of spreading it further. I've informed people I've been in contact with, and will update them if my symptoms change.

But so far no change, no fever, no cough, no headache. My money is on a boring old cold. Very undramatic! 7 days of staying out of shops and off the street, assuming nothing changes, but we can carry on decorating and clearing out the old house.

Seriously, stay well. Sorry to hear about your daughter's friend. My sons and husband have a friend they were in scouting with for years that is very ill. He is intubated and was put in an induced coma due to the coronavirus. He is in his 60's.
