This poor baby was rescued but it hurts my heart to see this. Who would do such a thing?

An abused dog left abandoned with its face and muzzle duct taped has been rescued, thanks to the collaborative effort of South Carolina's Darlington County Sheriff’s Office and Animal Shelter.

"Sheriff Wayne Byrd says deputies received an anonymous call about a dog walking around the 900 block of Rogers Road in Darlington on Monday," WBTW News 13 reported. "Deputies were able to catch the dog to remove the tape and took him to the Darlington County Animal Shelter for care and treatment."

If you don't want your dog anymore, don't want to take it to a shelter, or whatever, why not just shoot it? It would be much more humane than this! What if the dog wandered into the woods? He would have suffered for days while he slowly starved!

There was a stray cat I was feeding once. It took forever to gain it's trust enough to touch it.
Finally I went there one afternoon to rescue it.
Couldn't find it.
I asked a guy outside the factory if he had seen it.
He said he finally was able to catch it (cuz of me) and he put it in a burlap sack and threw it in the river.
I was sick for a week.
And very close to murder.

They would put live traps out for skunks.
And then just wait for them to slowly die.
I reported them, but I'm sure nothing came of it.
We're generally not a very good species.

It makes me sad to say but you're right. Thankfully, this baby got help, thank goodness.

It's awful what people do to animals. They should thank the lord that I don't hand out punishments.

I do fostering for a local rescue. Some of the stories are horrifying. I have to skip over reading them.

I know this is wrong but I can't work at the animal shelter. It's just too hard on me. I leave there crying every time I've tried to work out there. This is why I share so many animals on Facebook, in hopes I can get someone to adopt.
