I believe there is some sort of mixup, and you are not reading the same thing the rest of us are. The link led me to an article about an incident on an Australian airliner, and has nothing to do with the French.

It's not the best attempt at humor I've seen, nor is it the worst. The fact that several other passengers, who were gay stood up for the mistakenly identified passenger, outraged by the unintended slur...is inspiring. But that's just my read on it.

I wasn't outraged and find your comments about lobotomy far more offensive. Have a nice day.

I would just like to say that having read the whole thread now I am a bit upset at the way it evolved. Look The FrenchGuy if you're going to be online there is a certain amount of derogatory crap that is going to be waiting for you. Thankfully it was only a mixup here, but sometimes it won't be. While this board is pretty safe there has been once or twice something a bit questionable has come up, though it's been quite a while, and was addressed by Etoile very quickly the one time I can think of it happening. But when it does happen, responding with statements about how the person who posted has already been lobotomized is just going to cause a flame war. Which came very close to happening here. Please address posts you see as inappropriate in a somewhat more level manner in the future. This is one of the only boards I find regularly pleasant to read and post on, and I'd like it to stay that way.
