It's the bipolar tendencies. I'm getting better at recognizing it and can control my more self destructive urges.
The ex wife was visiting when it started and she said that she could feel the same change in atmosphere that precluded the bipolar shift but that I have much better ability to temper the peaks of those swings.
On the down side I also don't really get the bipolar uber happiness.
