It's no use to point out what a loathsome person he is. The Trumpers see him, not as a person, but as a sort of avatar of right-wing populist nationalism. They think putting him in power means bringing back the Good Old Days, when white and Christian and male and straight was the default normal for American identity, and it was possible for a white man with only a high-school education to earn a middle-class income. (That was possible because labor unions were so strong, then. Trump never talks about bringing back unions.) That's what it means to Make America Great Again. To vote for Trump is to vote for that.

True, because Trump supporters like myself easily see how all the negativity and claims of being 'loathsome' is completely made up BS in a desperate attempt to smear him.

This is because the left/democrats have no good record or positive ideas of their own; they got nothing to run on except 'orange man bad!'.

When someone actually looks into Trump's history, sees him in multiple long form interviews, sees how previous haters of him freely and respectfully admit how wrong and brainwashed they were about Trump, you begin to see just how great a person he is.

Trump isn't perfect, he's not without flaws, his personality isn't for everyone, he certainly isn't some messiah like some fanatical supporters act like he is. But that assessment applies to everyone.

Trump is a great guy overall, and the more I learn and see about him, the greater my respect grows.

Trump's former inner circle and other top Republicans have also said how awful he is.

Thanks for playing!

(It's easy to debunk a sealion's fake argument.) 🙂

Not even you believe a word of that.

Interesting point. Trump is almost a Rorschach test. One sees in him what one wants to see. The MAGA crowd sees in him a savior/Messiah. The rest of the country sees in him a stark raving lunatic.

That's exactly what I believe.

But by all means, continue to demostrate how brainwashed you are by insisting you can tell other people what they really believe. You're just like the religious nutso who tells everyone they really believe in god, they're just denying it.

He's not a lifelong Washington insider. That's the real swamp that needs cleaning up. :)
Trump ran on a promise to drain the swamp.

Nobody wanted him to drain it directly into the West Wing. Which is exactly what he did.

Better Washington insiders than Wall Street insiders.

What's the difference? (nancy pelosi) :)

Trump lacks gravitas. He is not presidential. He has the personality of a spoiled child.

I cannot understand Trump's emotional appeal. I disliked Ronald Reagan, and I disapproved of most of his policies, but I could feel the lure of his cowboy charisma.

He is an avatar of right-wing populist nationalism. That is why he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue, etc.

They both lost to a guy that many Democrats compare to Hitler. lol.
They both lost for very good reasons. They were uniquely unqualified. Neither one were “true” politicians. They didn’t have to ever win over the other side. They were both gifted their seats by safe districts. They were elevated way above their abilities on the national level. Harris probably could have been an effective senator had she stayed in that lane. Taken over the role of left wing firebrand in Cali. Hillary…she’s fucked up everything she’s ever touched…

You do know she bears no blame for Benghazi, don't you?
What he "knows" is what the right wing shit machine has been screaming at the top of its lungs about Hillary since 1992. Don't bother trying to sort what's true and what isn't.

Oh God, you Americans!

Please allow me to simplify things as I see it from afar.

Harris ran on the premise that at least she is not Trump.

But people voted Trump on the premise that at least he is not Harris.

IMHO, the more interesting contest will be 2028... If the world isn't flat level glass by then.

Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die.

The ONLY REASON you like him, is because he will give your country's government carte blanche in Ukraine, decrease American support for NATO, and thereby allow your country to expand it's geopolitical footprint in Europe and Asia.

Just for once, let's be honest here. Because otherwise, you honestly couldn't give a shit about who runs our government either way.
