I had wanted to tell you recently that you seem to be more interesting/entertaining than usual - or maybe I wasn't paying attention before - but you've turned off pm's *and* email!

Sheesh!

So... there.

Maybe I'm sick in the head. You... Lasher... people are going to start wondering if I've lost my mind. Heh.

Honestly, I haven't changed. What has changed is that people stopped screaming at me and mis-characterizing me because they've learned I'll fight back and damn the consequences. I even keep one running schtick going just to remind people to be nice when you don't agree. You don't have to ba an ass to people to be funny or witty. BUT, that message still seems to go over the head of some people here. Some of the REALLY smart ones. I'm still the dumbass of the board. People just finally got tired of jumping up and pointing it out.


You see when I came on the board, I made the mistake of acting like the others. Since then I've stepped back and tried to behave more like I've been trained. Be polite to your friends. Be twice as polite to your enemies.


Instead of branding people as nuts, I've tried to hold dialogs with them. When a newbie comes on full of passion and fire and incoherent as hell, I remember, that used to be me. No one EVER gave me the time or chance to find my voice. So now I am trying to do that for others as well as wage war on those who turned me into a poor characature of a Lit member.


I don't PM and such because I want everything I do at Lit to be on the surface. No hidden agendas, no trolling, no secrets, no attempt at freindship other than the love of reading, writing, thinking, pondering and having fun.


Sorry to dump on you.


But it's nice to hear nice things about yourself...




But, I've had more fun here in the last year than I've had since back in 98 or 99 when I first began submitting stories.

I do the same. I take everyone at face value until they say or do something to change my mind.

Even then, I usually give people a few chances to strike out.
