I submitted my first story to Literotica only to discover that, when posted, the story's spacing had been overlooked completely. The piece is harder to read without the original paragraph breaks, and far less effective.

Question is, who the hell do I contact to rectify this?

McKai,

I'm not sure what you want to do with the spacing. I looked at your story - http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=297402 -
it seems to have the same spacing as most.

If you had some special formatting in mind, there is a way it can be done. If I remember right, you resubmit the story via email with the formatting and put a in a not to the editors asking them to post the story with the format in tact. It takes about 2 to 3 times as long to get a story posted that way, though.

I don't know what you mean, by the spacing's been overlooked. I haven't read it, but a quick glance simply shows me paragraphs with double spacing in between.

If you wanted special spacing, you should have given details in the 'notes' box on your submission page.

You could either pm Laurel (joint site owner) or re-submit the story, with full instructions in the 'notes' box as to how you want the spacing to be placed.

Do NOT send an e-mail.

Best I can do, sorry.

I'm with them. You seem to have plenty of spacing between paragraphs as far as I can see. And since they already gave you the contact info, I'll refrain so you don't have to see it a million times over. :)

Just out of curiosity, how did you want the paragraph spacing?

In addition to the normal paragraph breaks, there were occasional sectional breaks. I'll admit to being somewhat of a perfectionist, but I'd like my work to appear exactly as I submitted it, and exactly as I'd intended it to be read. It's a matter of personal and aesthetic preference, but a crucial one, I think.

I always put some sort of symbol between sections (I use "* * *", so it is clear that it is a break. Although, if you are a perfectionist, this might now work for you. But I can definately see how losing your section breaks would be upsetting, since it would throw off the flow of the story as you intended it to be.

Where are our manners

Welcum to the AH, luv. You'll like it here. Most of us are insane, but there are a few "norms." We don't talke about them though :D

Thanks! I'm feeling quite at home already.

Yeah, well we haven't had to whip you with any dangling participles yet...

I never was good at parsing grammar.

I'm Happy!!!

I'm sure happy I have LadyCibelle and Techsan to edit my stories or I would be living in the crapper. I doubt if I'd get anything submitted. Thank you to these two, people actually think I can write.
