My most recent embarassing moment. I went to sit on a stool in front of my couch and the stool moved. So I missed it and fell directly onto my glass and wood coffee table. Not my most graceful moment.

I broke the table
Not the glass, thankfully, but one of the legs broke right off.
I think I busted a rib though, and I hurt my arm. :(

Someone cheer me up, please!?!

Awww, sorry to hear that that happened to you. If it makes you feel any better, I've missed the chair while teaching in front of my class. Very inelegant, I must say. At least you were in the privacy of your own home, not in front of a bunch of 6-year-olds.

Ouch!

Are you okay?

I hope so..

cheer you up,huh?

Okay.....

Here is my personal life's purpose.

I must.....

That's funny Starfish. I'm basically ok, just a few bumps and bruises. And my pride is hurt.

Yea, lilminx, thankfully it was just me and my parents here.

Actually, none of them mentioned it after 10 minutes... I kind of tried to act normal and I think they kind of forgot about it- thank god I wasn't wearing a skirt- they would have seen more than they should have! lol.

any time i fall i always have an interesting story to go with it.. needless to say, i think yours is an interesting story to go with your fall...

i'll share my interesting story from one of the last times i fell..

i was walking down the stairs to leave my friend's room to come back to mine. i tripped over my own feet, fell down about 2 (maybe 3) stairs, and ended up hurting my foot and ankle pretty badly.. i ended up spending the next week on crutches and told everyone that my friend pushed me down the stairs.. it was really funny cuz i was at least laughing about it when i told the story..

and feel free to laugh at mine.. and yours too... it takes away some of the physical pain if you do

it is often said that "laughter is the best medicine"
i believe it.

Hey, ohio gal:

I do that sort of thing all the time. I am a total klutz! :)

Years ago I had a job interview. I was waiting in the reception area. They didn't have "normal" furniture. I sat on a couch- with no armrests. It looked like a foam rubber futon sort of thing. I sat down and waited. The room was packed, btw.

The interviewer came out and called my name and as I gathered my things and started to get up, I rolled right off the end of the couch and onto the floor. It was kind of in slow motion too. Sort of like those kids toys- Weebles wobble but they don't fall down? But I did fall down! Literally, right on my face!

Everyone started laughing. I, of course, wanted to die. But, to save face, I did what I always do in situations like that. (and yes there are way too many situations like that! LOL)

I stood up and loudly announced I meant to do that!. That did elicit some more welcomed laughter!

Hope you're feeling better now!

:D

No lasting damage (except to the table) a bump on my side and a sore arm.

I've been very klutzy lately!

That should help april-wine :D
