Whoa nellie. The edge of a hurricane doesn't arrive gradually. We just went from dead-stillness and clear skies to NOT GOOD with the flick of a switch.

Thank God there were no avocados on the tree this year. The summer of Hurricane Irene the tree was twice the height of the house had had a bumper crop of green cannonballs.

Guacamole galore.

Gotta go. Lightning. What to do about stubborn friend who stayes in the middle Keys.

Jerk.

:(

This is good.

Quiet again.

Wish I'd hear something from my stubborn friend who refused to leave the Keys.
Maybe he'll be in the avocado tree tomorrow if the wind picks up.

Fajita party at Sher's!

I think you need to whip his ass when you get him out of the tree and then send him out for some Margarita Mix and Tequila.

The good stuff too, none of that discount liqour.

:rose: (glad it's quiet again)

I'm torn. I am glad it is quiet again but want to have Margaritas with Sher and Lucky.

Tequila makes me lose my quacamole. Alternate beverage suggestions are welcome.

BTW, bad tequila vs. good tequila is one of those things like wine or sushi. the wrong first experience can turn you off forever. unlike chocolate, where even the bad seems to be good

Is rum and coke too overdone down there?

~lucky (who took a shot of Goldschlager with a friend earlier so she'd feel better about not drinking alone) & yum

Some years ago I was in Cabo San Lucas when a hurricane was due. I had rented a house and was concerned about preparations for the coming storm. I went over to visit Maria, my cleaning lady, and Pedro, her husband. I asked what they did to prepare for a hurricane. Pedro volunteered the following information:

"Senor, we get drunk."
