Ok...kinda, here's some songs I just love and heard on the radio recently. Good stuff, stuff that makes me feel good and makes me sing in the car driving home...
I took my love, i took it down
climbed a mountain and i turned around
and i saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
'til the landslide brought it down - Fleetwood Mac, Landslide
Stevie Nicks wrote this one very early in her career and at a time in which the band had taken a blow. She was disappointed she wrote this song, which took the band to a new level of course. (Source: VH1)
I remember standing on the corner at midnight
Trying to get my courage up
There was this long lovely dancer in a little club downtown
I loved to watch her do her stuff
Through the long lonely nights she filled my sleep
Her body softly swaying to that smoky beat
Down on Mainstreet - Bob Seger, Mainstreet
This song is hauntingly good, at first I though it was Joe Cocker but it's Bob Seger, very good tune.
Woke up to the sound of pouring rain,
The wind would whisper and I'd think of you.
And all the tears you cried, that called my name.
And when you needed me I came through. - Skid Row, I remember you
Another good, haunting tune, always leaves me in an introspective mood. Love it.
