It seems genuine, and someone pegs it as belonging to Bill Gross of Pimco.

However, it's common in some restaurants to automatically add a gratuity to large tabs. The credit card receipt adds a tip line whether the gratuity is already included or not.

While I'm aware of gratuity charges my call is that it doesn't count if you don't volunteer some money. The tradition is what? I honestly keep forgetting what percent you're supposed to tip. Is it 15%? If this happened it's appalling and the man needs to hunted down.

My guess however and I'm in the I need at least a few days to confirm waiting period. If you'll go back to say when Acorn advised a pimp and several righties were bashing Acorn and several lefties were defending them I called Bullshit from the getgo. This inherently smells wrong. It's possible some douche did this but it's easier to buy frankly that some banker didn't leave a tip at all than it is that he deliberatly left a 1% tip on a bill that would not only have required math (when a tip of 0.00 with the get a real job would have accomplished the same goal) was involved. It's just an incredibly douchy thing to do. It's not impossible that miles is part of the 1% and he does things cus it's funny. But it's unlikely.

It passes my smell test cuz I've known plenty of folks who skimp on the tips. Most women do. Every woman with kids does.

Years ago the Feds had the GATB (General Aptitude Test Battery) that was available at all state employment offices. Its the old SQUARE PEG IN THE ROUND HOLE TEST. But its excellent at pegging your natural aptitudes for almost every job that exists, cuz it was normed using the best of the best workers in every job. So if your test score profile matched the Best scores, you were recommended to try THAT particular job.

The gubmint quit using the GATB cuz Niggaz never qualify for any job that isnt associated with janitor work, sports, or dancing.

Tips are optional with a range from 0 to several hundred percent (Jackie Gleason was a notorious over-tipper) based on the quality of service. I've tipped 0% on maybe 3 occasions based on seriously fucked up service.

Perhaps the service provider 'earned' that 1% tip, and maybe, just maybe, that little note on the receipt was sage advice.
