Hello all,
As a fresh author with a few submissions on lit I decided to sign up for Literoticas writer's market place ... everything worked out fine till I went to choose which of my stories to display.

I got an error message saying that none of my stories are turned on. One may chuckle at the abundance of innuendo in the above line, nonetheless that is what the error message says and I would appreciate any feed back as to what in the world this means.... and "How to turn my stories on?"

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

There are a lot of server/database tweaks going on right now, so it could be just a little hiccup that will self correct over the next couple of days.

That's the route I would go, just giving things a day or two to stabilize, unless someone pops in and has more information.

Yep, Lit is freaking out...

I've been waiting on my stories to be approved. I went looking for something new to read and I saw my story. What the heck! "Girlfriend Ch. 03" has been approved? Not by my list it haven't, but yet there it is. I'm linking my new ones in my signature until things stablize. Going to look for others....

My latest still hasn't updated to my list either.

Looking at the overall ratings climbing back up to where they were a few weeks ago, my guess is that the database is a little slow to update things because there's a massive troll search and destroy going on right now.

With as many stories as there are here, and as many as were bombed ( the highest rating on *anything* for a while was 4.94, and it got to 4.8's in the overall toplist first page ) it will probably take a while to scan the whole database for all the troll IPs and restore the votes to pre-troll blitzkrieg status.

Stroking them? Deep breathing? Intense looks?

Sorry, I don't have anything helpful. Just wanted to welcome you here. :rose:

I have had the same problem consistently for at least a year. I cannot remove any stories from the list without it thinking I have removed them all and sending me the "must select at least one" message, even when stories are clearly selected. I PM'd Manu about it many months ago, and he PM'd me back asking me to describe the problem more specifically, but to date it still does not work. I'd suggest PM'ing him to let him know that at least one other person has this problem.

Check your public comments and see if they are all showing up. I'm are not all showing.

I think it just need a little shaking, because after viewing my stories a few times they showed up in the story list. The one Ch 04, haven't showed up in my list yet, but I believe it will soon.

I was wondering about that. I know the trolls are trolls, and they randomly go through and do trollish things, but I have yet to have them find me. (I hide in Celeb cat, lol) I was watching the ratings on the toplist plummet, and just confused as hell. Understandable, now.

Another thing that's had me puzzled. I understand that you have to have 10+ votes to be on the toplist, but I swear, I think Lit is losing views, votes, and comments. I know for a fact that one chapter of my series has had my entire writing group (something like twenty people, depending on how many spouses, sibs and SOs where allowed to read it at the time) read it, comment on it, and vote - and none of that shows up. Very weird. (Probably also very good, considering how critical those demons are, but still... it's strange)
