For a while now we have had several minor break ins. Certain neighbors of ours have decided that they would prefer to use our washer and dryer to do their laundry.

Now to add a bit less drama to this I have to mention that our washer and dryer are in a shed out back of our place.

When we first started noticing this it was because we found trash in the shed. We started locking the shed and they would cut the lock off. Then we started turning off the electricity to the shed, all this did was have them wait until we started doing our laundry then they would go in, pull our laundry out and throw it on the ground while they did their laundry. I'm sorry to say I have too many things to do to sit around watching for them. (I won't allow my wife to wait and watch for them either, too dangerous.) On the other hand there is nothing stopping me from being mean.

I spent a couple of minutes digging around in the back room then went out to work in the shed for a bit. By the time I came back inside I was chuckling and my wife was shaking her head.

The shed is an all metal six by eight model. Opening the sliding doors breaks a contact which starts an electric timer. You have twenty seconds to shut off the timer. Not shutting off the timer results in several extremely loud Horns going off for a two second blast. (We're talking three 180 decibel Highway Horns.)

If for some reason they return before I do the loading door to the washing machine is also wired. (This time to several Black Cat Firecrackers in a Coffee Can in the bottom of the washing machine with no timer.)

I know I'm going to have the police called on me over this but it will be worth it.

These the same neighbors that thought it was acceptable to plug all their heaters into your outdoor sockets?

I am on pins and needles! :)

Is it horrible that I so want someone to break into your laundry room?
