This is funny or what? Canada's groundhog was found dead hours before making his weather prediction

I find it odd you see humour in the passing of an innocent animal.
Little dude was 14 years old. Pretty ripe old age for a g-hog.

In the wild, groundhogs can live up to six years with two or three being average. In captivity, groundhogs reportedly live up to 14 years.

Wiarton Willy is still kicking though, and he predicts an early spring.

He wasn't innocent. He was conspiring with the pretend weather authorities.

:nana:

I don't know why the "blow"back, but it is humorous.
Didn't they have an internhog on standby?

In today's news in Canada Fred the groundhog pass away at 14 years. Mean while in the USA, today records the 35th mass shooting of the year, resulting in another 4 KIA by their fellow Americans, resulting in a years running total of......

Common sense knife laws? It seems that if you take in population, there's a similarity here. White folks be crazy?

Do you really want to go down this road? I've taken idiots like you there more times than I care to remember. Nice that you bring up links that prove me right!!

Check the dates on those two incidents, then check this link out.

Btw, the USA has already had more mass shootings in 2023, than Canada has had since before it became Canada...

Now let me know if you wish to continue Joe, or have you looked like a fool enough.

Canada isn't much better than the US and it's not a massively polyglot nation. It's just you white people, the ones who enjoyed killing the natives for sport.

We didn't try to kill the native for sport.

We did try extensively to assimilate the First Nations, and destroy and erase their culture though. To be honest we did a pretty good job of too, so good in fact, we completely fucked up 5 generations, and are now paying a massive price to correct and repair the damage.

Another fucking AJ alt I'm thinking....

fuzzy - it was ethnic cleansing.

Ethnic cleansing? I think not, it was attempted assimilation. Canada was not trying to eradicate the First Nations. Setting up the residential school system was hundreds of times more costly than if we were trying to eradicate them. Not to mention that intermarriage with First Nation women and French males started 150 years before Canada was a nation, leading to the Metis. So you can try to sell it as what you wish, debating over the "reason" behind the damage is a waste of time, and a very American thought pattern.

It is far better to teach the real history, which includes the Residential Schools, the treaty rights granted, (yada yada yada)but never honoured, and pay the bill for those mistakes and try to move forward as a shared land, as was expected by those First Nation when those agreements were signed
