On occasion hairs appear around the auriola of my nipples. I tweaze them away, it hurts, but the idea of hairy nipples is appalling to me. My GP says it's hormonal and will go soon. Am I alone in this agony?

I've had one hair there for....gosh, I've forgotten how long. It must be heritiary, as my mother also has one hair, and my 16 yo daughter has one hair in the same spot.

"Out, out, cursed hair!"

But really, none of us let it bother us over much. My daughters bf doesn't mind, my dad doesn't mind, and I haven't anyone to mind.

It's not that noticable though, so I don't bother with the tweezing.

Is this why I'm still single?

I have a few on each. Interestingly, I found when I was pregnant, they all went away and didn't come back for 3-4 years. Now they are back but I pluck or just wrap them around my finger and pull the suckers out!

It is normal, but it won't go soon. You're stuck now. Any major horMOANal change can cause this. When I had my hysterectomy, I started getting it. I just pluck!
