This is cool! Long live Mandela!

Decided to bring this one back.

I find it kind of adorable, in kind of a horrifying way, to see all the sanctifying. Does anyone remember all of the years that he was called a terrorist by the US media? Now they talk about him as if he was a fluffy puppy all of his life. He was peaceful when he could be, and violent when he had to be. I don't know about you, but I won't forget that lesson.

I actually do not remember him being called a terrorist by US media. I suppose my earliest recollection begins at the point the anti-apartheid movement had already gathered a lot of steam. I remember Nelson Mandela and his then-wife on Oprah. What was the deal with her?

How a prisoner became a legend. This story tells more of what I remember of Mandela. Being put in prison by the whites in power. It was their way to silence him and his desire to have everyone be equal. It's quite a story and it makes me wonder how come he wasn't bitter, or at least didn't show it.
