I got a message from Lit that someone needed an editor (even though they had submitted and been given - to my mind - some good guidance and direction from Lit.com.....) and when I tried to email them back all I got was a delivery failure......
I don't mind helping and would enjoy being of some value to someone in need but I'm a little confused: Getting an undeliverable response screams: Spam, junk, virus!!!!!
Anyone else getting this stuff?
I asked a question from this forum before and some individuals went tribal on me.....I can handle it but they were obviously in unfamiliar waters..........
Oooooga-boooga-booo

I haven't had any problems.

For the most part, I deal with authors I already know here.

The first contact with any others is generally through PM's.

Then I have them send me their work by e-mail.

Was a reason given for the undeliverable failure?

I know these are somewhat obscure in their wording, but undeliverable can be because the target mailbox is full, and that is not always the owner's fault (somebody sent me a gigabyte .pdf the other day and nearly closed my inbox).

Another possibility is that the email address recorded on Lit for the member is out of date. When that happens you can try contacting them through a PM and pointing out the fact to them; they can then correct it.

Actually, I have had similar problems several times, albeit not recently. It seems the authors used "throwaway" e-mail addresses that they never checked, turned off their PM access , and then wondered why they don't get any response.

One dude eventually contacted me to inquire about his story, but I still have two others parked in a corner of my hard drive, just in case anyone ever gives me a clue how to return the edited copy.

Shakes, shoulder-hug CC, been a bit.

As for the topic, no, no problem here.
