This is a serious question, not a joke and I don't need garbage replies.

I've had some strange moments today. You may have seen some indication in some threads. Things I can't explain. Like seeing thread titles and content change. One possibility is some sort of server burp messing with the cache.

I do not have a serious medical history. In fact, it's mostly clean with none of the problems many have. No serious injuries, broken bones, etc.

The moments today have come and gone. I suppose it could be lack of sleep or stress or something else benign. But I'm beginning to wonder about a very minor stroke. I've not had any mobility issues, I've done all my tasks and exercise, no tremors of loss of motion, etc. No hot sun to cause issues of exhaustion. Eating well, etc.

I don't like doctors and hate going to them, especially when I can't really describe an issue.

So, with all that said, has anybody had an EEG? Would one show any indications of something odd like this?

Serious question. How old are you?

You're having a stroke. Log off of lit and go for a job to get that circulation flowing again.

Is it only on the computer?

Has anything in your immediate physical environment changed perceptually?

Did you sleep poorly last night?

Have you eaten sufficiently today? Same with water?

Mostly.

No.

Always. Every night. Haven't had what I'd call a 'good night's sleep in many years.

Same as every day. Meals and snacks scattered though the day.

Sometimes threads are moved from one forum to another and sometimes posts are deleted by Laurel.

Have you had any unexplained gaps in time? Lost minutes or hours that you cannot explain by activity or by sleep?

addressing just the title/content changes, it's possible to view a post which changes within a short span of time where the poster has edited it within a very limited time.

also, simple tiredness fucks with our brains YUGELY!

This wasn't that. It was almost like an old backup got restored and went live. Threads were out of order, titles didn't match thread content, etc. But what made it really odd, was that it was not just this site. The experience was across several websites. And what made it even more odd is that it appeared to be ONLY on the web. I really can't explain the phenomenon very well. I had been working outside in the sun, but this was not a hot, exhausting day and I had eaten as I always do.

I know it doesn't make sense. That's what bothers me.

No. But being of that certain age and not working, I don't track time like most people do. No known or perceived gaps there though.

i would think the fact it WAS only on the web would be reassuring - almost surely to be technical gremlins, not your brain

Your computer might have a root kit, run rkill and see if it reports anything.
Love your tits, are those yours?

well, personally i'd fig marshal alice gun. priori lemon, nautical sunshine mat cancel. origami? hectare salute derelict tonnage. i hope that helps.

That's what I'm trying to get my head around. I was outside working on the pool, then came in for a break when I first noticed this phenomenon. I'm trying to figure out if it was 'just the Sun' or something else.

When was the last time you did a general blood test, pressure, etc.

If long time, better to be safe. check glucose levels, lipids, liver etc.

But back to the question. Has anybody had an EEG and would one be likely to show anything if it was very minor?

nope, not had one so cannot answer that. others here probably can.

the very fact you are so worried about this thing today suggests to me you should make a doctor's appointment because something else is underlying the worry. make an appointment, it can't hurt and they are the people to ask this kind of stuff.

Clinic checks BP and weight when you go in for anything, but not much else. BP is slightly high, but they say not enough to be of concern. Last time was a few weeks ago. There was also a culture taken for a small abcess type thing on my back, but that proved to be of no concern. I don't know if they tested the culture for anything else. The rest have not been checked in quite a while.
