Debussy - Pavane for a Dead Princess, La Mer

Barber - Adagio for Strings

Rimsky-Korsakov- Sheherazade

Any of Lucianno Pavarotti's aria collections--Nessun Dorma (swooon)

Do you want something for a romantic mood, or something enjoyable to listen to?

So, I suppose Ravel's Bolero is a bit much?

*wink*

Not really "classical", but a nice instrumental is George Winston's December CD. My sweetie and I made out to it regularly in our "dating" days....

Beethoven- "Fur Elise"

Rubenstein- "Melody in F"

Schubert- "Impromptu"

Mendelssohn- "Lied ohne Worte" Op. 19/1

Debussy- "Clair de lune"

Chopin- "Fantaisie Impromptu"- I especially like this one

Just my two cents.. very different types of music... But I think that Enya has some very beautiful and romantic music. I also think that Otis Redding has some lovely stuff too....like "These Arms of Mine" and "Lover's Prayer".

Thought I'd point that out seeing how I haven' posted all that much porn related stuff here. Guess what? This isn's porn related either.:(

Precisely. The site is erotic (not porn..."ahem"). That doesn't mean the General Bulletin Board is...:p

Some of Chopin's Waltzes are light and romantic, without being erotic.

I would say Vivaldi's Four Seasons, but it gets too hyper and the gets too erratic to be romantic.

Vivaldi

I enjoy Vivaldi's Concerto for 2 Mandolins (Andante)

Its very soothing & has a nice sound.

And just for fun thow in Tchaikovsky's Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.:)

And with certain people sometimes it's idiotic.:p

Hey, hey, back to the point of this thread-music. Mensa, p_p_man? Anything to add?

Depends on how you classify classical. I personally like Lara's Theme from the film Dr Zhivago...

:)

I would've guessed "Colonel Bogey March" from Bridge on the River Kwai.:p

LOL! Okay thinking man. What's your choice then?

:D

Showing my sensitive side

The answer CB wants to hear is "Fur Elise" by Beethoven.

My real answer is "Darktown Strutters Ball":p

This is two of my favourites.

Johann Pachelbel – Canon and Gigue in D major

Gluk – Dance of the blessed spirits (from the opera “Orpheus and Eurydice”)

I've downloaded quite a few of the suggestions here-would you believe the hardest one for me to get is Fur Elise? Isn't that odd? Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.

My favorite song to play on the piano! :)

(Sorry, no recording of me playing it though. You wouldn't want it if there was!)
