Have any of you immensely talented Literotica authors managed to get a book published?
I have written a book relating stories of my time owning and running a safari lodge here in South Africa.

I managed to get it listed (published is not the right word) on a 'print-on-demand' site.

The finished article is of a very high standard - don't get me wrong, but their marketing is virtually non existent, meaning NO SALES!!!

I would like to transfer to a 'proper' publisher, but don't have a clue as to how to go about it.
I know that most publishers simply toss unsolicited manuscripts into the bin - unread.
Agents are expensive and their on-going fees ludicrous.

Any help or advice?

I have, but I have published books through an e-publisher (Republica Press), and nothing in print. I know others have had print books published, but again, most if not all seem to be romance or some form of erotica.

If you wish to PM me, I'll give you the URL to a Writer's Digest "101 Best Web Sites" Web site that discusses all of the basic questions on how to get published.

Does anyone use literary agents any more, or are they roadkill on the Information Superhighway?

Literary agents are still necessary in top-flight mainstream publishing. They serve the publishers, who use them to filter the submissions.

An interesting question, I think, is whether the submissions pressure is being lessened on both mainstream publishers and agents by the e-book revolution. I would think it would be, but I haven't looked into it.
