In the last 6 months, I participated in about 7 different boards.

On all this boards, you had to register with a valid e-mail address. A guest could only read, but not answer or start new threads.

So why is it different on this board ? Just look at this mess that this troll started. This troll posted crap in 19 different threads within less then 30 minutes.

I think the "guest posters" has to stop. Sure, sometimes it is good, if you can be anonymous. Someone posts a true story, about something like incest or something like this. But it has gotten out of hand.

If one of the registered posters writes crap, he can be banned, either for some time, or permanently (and this happend many times on other boards). Sure, he can get a new e-mail address, and register with a new name. But this would be quiet some work.

So, again, this guest poster thing has to stop.

What makes this SITE (Lit has many boards within it) different than other bulletin boards is Laurel's (the owner) choice of American Free Speech. She is a firm believer of it.

Now, as I have said time and time again, and as other members have said, if you ignore the troll he will get bored with us and go away! Yayati AND all of the "racist" India/Indian themed screen names are the SAME boy.

Don't play his game. He left the General board because people would not play with him anymore. He feeds off of the NEGATIVE feedback he gets from "pissed off" people. Don't feed him anymore. Be smarter and more mature than this boy.

If we're lucky, one day he may leave Lit alltogether out of boredom.

When Laurel bans someone from Lit, she bans the IP address. That means the TROLL would have to buy a new computer or use their friend/parent/local electronic store's computer to flame away.

Now I understand why one of the Internet Cafes that I use can't access Literotica.

Actually you can change the IP without buying a new computer...just for the record

For the record

Chicklet is right about the IPs, but one should not assume that if a flamer continues to be a jerk that A) the moderator screwed up or B) The jerk is major IP switching computer genius.

Most ISPs, including big daddy AOL, use a system wherein User X signs on and is assigned a "dynamic" (more or less random) IP from a pool that internet company has reserved for it's use. They usually keep an IP just for that session. So Joe the Jerk can sign on three times a day and get a differnet IP each time. People get confused because smaller ISPs and cable connections usually use "static" IPs that never change.

Back in the day, I could concisely explain the exact technical reason for all this, but I drink heavily.

(Sorry, not on topic.)

Hey! A Florida man...! Are you watching the live footage of Alligator Alley right now?

nope

Ah, thank you Puppi and CNN for the update on Florida. Looks now like it is not terrorism, but if those guys said all the things they are reported to have said, it is small wonder the bomb squad is disassembling their car. I wonder if they'll have to put it back together themselves.

I'll never understand some folks.

They have I-75 closed down between Naples and Ft. Lauderdale. There are three men of Middle Eastern decent in local custody. There are two abandoned cars in the middle of the interstate. Bomb squads are there. Local police is there. FBI is there.

CNN is broadcasting live.

In a Ga. Shoney's early in the morning, the men were overheard saying, "If they're crying over 9 11, wait until they see 9 13."

Off topic

And, if I may be forgiven for going off topic again, I have another observation to make about the ongoing Florida incident. Guilty or joking, how stupid do you have to be to talk like that in Georgia? I mean, not to resort to the southern stereotype, but it's not exactly the UC Berkeley/Santa Cruz city council style down here, either. Those guys are fortunate that they lady that overheard them didn't say:

"Billy Joe, get little Bobby Jack out of the high chair and stash him in the bushes whilst I get the rifle from the truck. Sally May, you stir up your Daddy and the relations on this here cel phone and tell 'em to come quick, cuz there's trouble down to the Shoney's. The rest of you, cover me."

America, we're nutty like that.

By the way, X, I'm not sure if I'm just in a goofy mood but your posts just made me laugh. thanks for that. I guess all the heavy drinking didn't do too much damage.

Georgia anxiety in general

For the record, I'm as white as you come short of being born albino and rural Georgia makes even me nervous.....*softly humming the theme from Deliverance*
