Well, Tom's decided to go for it for a 3rd time, and good luck to him... if it's a publicity stunt, as many Net-lurkers and jaded insiders have come to vehemently think, then I hope it sinks them both career-wise and they can never crawl out of it, but if it is a sincere relationship Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have together, then I wish them all the luck in the world - I think they'll bloody need it to last together in Tinseltown! 
I was just thinking about all the relationships Tom Cruise in particular has been lucky enough to go through - thou since we're dealing with Cruise here, the top calibre of partners he's had is pretty unsurprising.
MiMi Rogers, his first wife... she's pretty darn hot, saw her in Full Body Massage with that old Aussie coot, Bryan Brown, and thought she was real sexy, a very doable MILF cutie.
There's hitch number 2, Nicole Kidman... a very lovely petite blonde beauty, whom we all remember with heartfelt fondness in such great films as Dead Calm, Cold Mountain, and of course that adult-orientated classic she starred in with her then-husband Tom, Eyes Wide Shut.
There's Penelope Cruz of course whom he dated but did not marry... they met and fell in love, supposedly, on the set of a movie that they both starred in, Vanilla Sky.
Of course, just yesterday in France Cruise announced his engagement to the former Dawson's Creek star, Katie Holmes... Tom's definitely a lucky bastard living a charmed life.
If ever there was a man blessed by the gods that be, then Tom Cruise would be that man... be damned with all that 'he made it himself' bullcrap too, I can be spiteful if I bloody well want to be!
I would think there's a pretty good story out there, or a small group of stories, involving Cruise and some or all of his past/present women.
I will be trying to work one out within the next few weeks, during my mid-year break. Anyone care to help brainstorm, or suggest their own ideas/concepts?
