Could someone give me some pointers to some good THIRD person stories? because most of the good ones recommended are all first person, and they just are not my thing.

and does anyone know what's up with agntsmith's a jedi's training stories? how soon is he going to release chapter 15?

Check out Abstruse, Rumple Foreskin, Colleen Thomas, Carson Shepherd, The Earl, Belegon, Patricia51, Sophia_Jane, Black Shanglan. . . I could go on forever. Different genres, superb third person stories.

IMHO there are thousands of good third person stories here.

thanks for the PM copy carver.

by the way, of those little icons by the stories

yellow n means new
red h means hot

but what does w mean?
and what does the green E mean?

W means it has one either one of the monthly contests, or one of the special holiday contests.

E means it's an editor's choice - one of the site folks that look over the stories really liked it.

hm...so im wondering...

see, my favorite author right now is agntsmith, because #1. im a big fan of starwars, and #2...its grasping, nice plot..#3. its vivid and pulls your imagination into the story. GREAT imagry

can someone give me some more? personal favorites or whatnot? as long as it's third person.

My newer ones are in third person, but not sure if it's the subject matter you're looking for.

My best here at Lit are The Warrior's Song and Possession (it took third place in the halloween contest last year).

If you'd like to have a read, and have me in your debt ;) click on "Wanna go to Cloud 9?" in my sig, and it'll take you to my stories page. Possession is erotic horror, but not too bloody and gory, so you may like it.

Third person

Most of the best stories are third person here, IMHO.
I would suggest mine, but they are probably not your cup of tea.

Do a search, in the categories you like, ot check out the "Best" lists, where most of the good stories are, and I'm sure you'll find more 3rd person ones there.

You seem to think we all should know your favorite author. You know there are many THOUSANDS of them here, and hundreds of thousands of stories.
I haven't seen the numbers for a while, but there are a LOT! And only a relative few post regularly in the forums.

So, go do some searches and I'm sure you will find some good stories. There are certainly lots of good ones here, and the authors mentioned earlier are good ones too.
Good luck.

well see, i HAVE searched...but there are simply too many! as you said, thousands of authors..tens of thousands of stories!

I have many that are written in the third person. Link in the sig! ;)

grey, your story is not bad at all. the only problem i really felt with it, is the well, first personish feeling. otherwise, its really pretty good. just try writing a bit more 3rd person and you'll get a more third person style to your stories. otherwise, i loved it.

If you like Sci-fi, just prowl the top 500 in sci-fi/fantasy. Most I've seen were 3rd person, and it should be easy to spot the science fiction stories among them by the titles. Stories with 50+ votes that have been on the toplist for months usually have something going for them to cling to that list. Note Coleen Thomas' sci-fi entries, one of which has been hanging out on the toplist for 2 years.

She also has a top contender in novels and novellas, which has been there for some time.

I'm personally not a big fanfic fan, myself, preferring people to generate their own 'universes,' though the Star Wars universe is plenty big for more stories to happen there.

Don't know what kind of stories you enjoy, but I recently tried my hand at the third person (I usually like writing in 1P, but it's not a self-centered 1P). My stories usually take up themes of group sex (spontaneous, first time experimentation) with elements of exhib/voyeur. Most have proven to be pretty popular on Lit. For one in the third person, check out:

Claribel, A Melody: http://english.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=200587

Let me know what you think if you like it...
