A little earlier I got a call from this number 117 ( that's the whole number ) I'm so high I looked at my phone and asked why the fuck is 911 calling me. I picked up and it's some Indian dude and I could tell that he was using some kind of magic jack by the sound and my words being delayed. So I automatically knew it was a scam. But who am I to knock his profession? And if someone is talking money I'm going to listen. He told me that he could get a check from $2000 to $7000 sent to my house. So me being the type of guy I am, I asked how. I'm curious, a friend of mine just got a check for 4500$ sent to his house and he doesn't even know where the fuck it came from. So this Indian man definitely had my ear. He said I'm going to enroll you in some colleges and imma send you a check in 7 business day. So I automatically asked "what's in it for you? Why the fuck do I deserve all this hospitality. He trying to tell me that he gets a commission from helping me. I didn't buy it. I said, " look brah, I'm from streets I know a scam when I see scam, but if we both could make money off it, I'm all for it, but what's your cut? I think he said %30 I honestly wouldn't have gave a fuck if he would've said 90%. So he told me that we're going to call some advisors, tell them that I graduated high school with some college and that I'm interested in future schooling and that I'm very motivate. He said that when they ask me if someone promise me loans and a grant just say no. ( I'm in my head like wtf you think I'm a dummy?) He was coaching me.So he called a couple of numbers I did what he told me to do but after about 40mins my pills started to drop. I'm high as fuck so I start slurring my words so I guess he see that I'm starting to fuck up so he hung up on me. Like 10mins later he called back, but now I'm mad cause I feel like I wasted my time. As soon as I picked up I said, " brah if I'm getting no money of this shit, don't waste my time" in the mist of me talking I hear him saying "Advisor are you there? Advisor are you there? But being that he was using some kind of magic jack it was delayed. So I didn't know that he called me back with the advisor on the phone. Why the fuck would you call me with him on the phone? He hung up again. I doubt he call the fuck back.

But do you think I'm getting the check? I doubt it.

Yes it is a scam. Yes he gets a cut. His end stays clean. You end up with some grant money maybe you dont have to pay back, but you get some student loan debt that will follow you forever.

You can get all that money legit with a ged. Or a diploma. No cut to the advisor, actually spend it on cllege and end up with an education and a job with enough earnngs to pay itback.

So, um I don't get calls like that. I don't get calls like that ever. Am I just living right? I mean, I'd love to be pestered by pure bullshit scam artists all the live long day, but I just don't get calls like that.

I see some of these guys in the vendor building at the state fair. They always think they got a big fish on the line. Then, after 80 minutes of yammering away and I show how excited that I am. I say, "no, but you make a great presentation!" Just casually stroll away like I took his lunch money.

Watch the ones who ask you to call a number. The number is long distance with the highest rates. The scam is the long distance phone calls. A buddy's wife racked up 80$ in charges in twenty minutes calling Jamaica. 2$/min x how many responses probably adds up nice for someone who bought a block of long distance calls at ultra cheap rates.

I know it's a scam. But I meant moresome like scam me. I should've used con me to make it more clear. But I'm starting to feel like I did all that and I'm not going to get no money.

The only reason I got a little faith in it because I didn't have to give him my social or anything. All the information I gave him, he knew already.

It also could be identity theft. He gets you to give him enough information to be able to set up a parallel identity as if he is you, get cards and credit, don't pay it.

That is popular in ways you wouldnt think of. Like he could apply for student loans get huge amounts, apply for tax refunds with phony W2's in your name, on and on.

Not really money out of your pocket in the long run since when they come looking for you, it isn't you. But untangling the mess could take a long time.

I wouldn't give him that type of info. And he didn't ask

But he is stupid. Because people like me, you don't have to scam or con, because I'm with the shit. Could've gave him a 100 broke people who would've been happy with a $100. He con me and probably made $5000,when he could've payed me and made $50,000.

Ah. then he didnt make any money.

He could not have gotten paid for any scenario involving student money without an identifiable student. Unless he is just going to make up stuff and he could do that without involving you.

See, if you hadn't been so high, you could have made some easy money there.

Now tell me again...who was wasting who's time

The exact same thing happened to me last year.
I got checks totalling 68 thousand dollars and no problem.
I bought a sailboat and went to the Bahamas.
Sweet deal!
