I've seen some people up into their late twenties handling knives in a way that's pretty disturbing. I've never encountered this particular injury, but I can't say it's surprising. Avocado hand does sound more like an infectious disease, though.

I tend to do slices, but that's mostly because I am a lazy cook. But, grilled chicken and avocado slices are perfect. I could eat that every day.

But, what I really don't get, is people riding their bike on the roadside, against traffic. Friday, there was a whole family riding on the wrong side of the road. There have already been two major bike/car collisions this year because the bikes were on the wrong side of the road.
