Things to Do in Detroit When You're Bored?

Hi fellow Litizens!

I'm going to be in Detroit/Southfield in a few weeks and am wondering what non-chain restaurants or microbrewery type places you might recommend for dinner.

And if, by some miracle, any one is up in the Midland area and has good recommendations, please let me know that as well!
