Ok... I don't know how successful this will be ;) This is my 1st thread, so here goes.....

I very much believe that we have the gift of life, and we should fulfill all our senses.... I am not a really spiritual person, but I guess next to the average joe, I could be a little spiritual.

I am touched by things I read, things I see, things I smell, things I hear....

I thought it would be nice to have a thread to share those things that you might stumble across day to day, that make you stop, collect your thoughts and reflect on how amazing it is to be here, things that connect us to ourselves....

Or things that just made you think.... wow.

I'll start with a couple of things.

First is a poem I was emailed the other day.

SLOW DANCE

Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?

Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.

Time is short.
The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?

When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed

With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?

You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.

Time is short.
The music won't last.

Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?

And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die

Cause you never had time
To call and say,'Hi'

You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.

Time is short.
The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.

When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....

Thrown away.

Life is not a race.
Do take it slower

Hear the music
Before the song is over.

This isn't a serious thread by the way  Just though it sounds a bit blah blah blah!!

Just one you can dip into if you're feeling a bit blue maybe?

I love sunrises.

They are God's promise of a new day, like a clean slate.

Zip a dee doo dah....

For me it would be dragonflies. Amazing things, dragonflies. They make me marvel at the intricacy and yet the pointlessness of life. Hurrah

The idea that there is someone who wants to wake up next to you and smell your horrible "dragon-breath", listen to you as you snort and gag your way through your last snore of the night, watch you scratch yourself in unseemly places and then unconsiously wipe the drool off the side of your face with the same hand that just scratched your sweaty ass... every day for the rest of their life.

Things that make you stop and think a magicians trick or an illusion, for I love the challenge in figuring it out.

I love the sky right before and during a storm. The wind rises up, cooler than before, the moisture in the air is flooding your senses, the swirling colors and subtle shades are astounding! I feel alive during a thunderstorm.

My oldest daughter (24) got a butterfly habitat for early Christmas present. Watching her with her eyes a wonder just like a little kid as they transformed from one stage to the next. It was like watching her as a little kid again.
