No particular order:
A baby laughing (especailly at me)
Laying on the floor with puppies.
Smells in the spring and fall.
Green bursting out in spring.
Geese flying North.
hearing my wife say, "I'm cumming."
Getting hugs unexpectedly.
Hearing my son use new words like, "I love every MOLECULE of this cake."

I'm sure I've forgotten a lot and left some out that other have said but it's a start.

Ok we have had a thread about things that make you go "blurgh". Why not start a thread that concentrate on things that make you go Uhmmm too??

For me some of the things, in no particular order, are:

The smell of freshly grinded coffee beans
A nice tight and long hug from somebody I care about
The smell in the forest after it have rained
Freshly moved grass
The scent of a woman that uses a nice perfume

Ok ShyGuy....

My daughters smile and laughter.
The smell of Apple Pie in the oven.
Vanilla.
That trick hubby does to my neck when he REALLY wants my attention.

ummmmm....

that sound of the vac. sucking up dirt
babies/children laughing
song that hasn't come on for a long time that I LOVE suddenly comes on the radio (in my car) ..."toin" it up baby!!!
my kitty purring and sleeping on my tummy.
my husbands voice on the other end of the phone.
birds chirping to wake you up when you are camping

the smell of baby powder
flowers, herbs, fruit, getting flirted with, flirting back, sex sex sex,
being kissed by someone for the first time, star gazing, swim on a hot day, snow angels, dancing in the rain, reaching the peak of a mountain, ice cream samples on those little spoons, homemade french fries, the invention of TVP....

writing down an idea, making an A in anything, speaking in spanish and not F#$#ing it up, no traffic!!!, weekends, warm but not overly hot sunshine, ahhhh I am getting carried away, but there are a lot of things that make me go ummmm!!!

anyone else??

Where are you moving the grass ShyGuy?? LOL

Only here to give people a hard time.

Ummmm...

*Hearing my daughter tell me she loves me out of the blue. Also when she tells me I'm the most beautiful person in the world. (Aren't kids sweet?)
smile.gif

*Someone special telling me how much I mean to them.

*Having such good friends on here, despite the fact that we've never met (you know who you are)

*Seeing the excited faces of the kids when an adult volunteers in class (they LOVE this, for some reason)

*Hearing a song that reminds me of a lost love.

*Knowing that sex ISN'T everything, and that sitting around talking and holding hands can be just as fulfilling.

*Still, gotta add the totally hot sex!!
biggrin.gif

*Having someone compliment something I've created, and seeing the look on their face when I tell them.

*"Lady and the Tramp" Classic love story..LOL

*Curling up with the cat for a nap...she loves to snuggle.

*Feeling like you know someone better than they know themselves...and vice versa...

*Being able to finish his sentences because I know exactly what he's thinking.

I could go on, but suddenly my vision is blurred...I'm too sentimental.

Well this is too easy:
the smell of my son's hair after he has played outside
the scent of a sleepy newborn
the feeling of my husbands warm body curled against me
misty,foggy mornings
camping in the mountains
freshly grated nutmeg
who said the vacuum-I love the sound of dirt zooming up the vacuum
walking in the mountains after a rain
the memory of my first kiss-under a pine tree during a neighborhood game of kick th can,I was 13 and terribly in love with the boy. The kiss was so perfect, not at all awkward, and totally innocent, his hands were shaking when he cupped my face and it was like a fairy tale kiss...I swear the world fell away for a brief instant. The smells of the mown grass and the pine needles were indelibly etched-Tommy thank you for that kiss...
oops almost got lost there
hyssop
chocolate creme brulee
and of course my friends here

Shyguy;
My children smile and laughter
Spending a quiet evening with my husband Alone.
I agree with the fresh ground coffee
Watching the kids have a good time with family.
Reading a romantic book
Just spending some time with the kids and hubby.

Here you go,

My cat.

The smell of freshly baked bread.

Finishing a really difficult crossword.

My partners eyes.

Feeling safe and warm indoors wrapped in a thick sweater and my lovers arms when a raging storm is going on outside.

My partner bringing me freshly brewed coffee in bed in the morning.

Walking in the rain.

Uhmmmm...

That tune you listened to ages ago and now you hear it again it brings back some great memories.

A walk in the park in autumn/fall while it's still warm and there's those fabulous colours.

Waking up and remembering that you have a day off.

A smile.

And I'll have to agree with Cyra_3 about the storm, especially when the rain patters on the windowpane and there's a good fire in the grate.

Don't you ever move your lawn, Sammyjo?

Football.

Fresh powder.

Smooth groomed corduroy, and a little high speed cruising.

Tae-jee bul-go-gi (Korean hot, spicy BBQ pork).

The smell of black powder smoke.

Maple syrup.

A great story on Literotica.

Ice cold beer (cheap beer!).

The smell of a woman without perfume.

Oh Shy I just got goose bumps thinking of all the things that make me go UHMMM.

The list:

A newborn baby who just took a bath and has baby lotion all over its cute little body.

The smell of the Ocean. I really miss not having it close by. (8 hours away)

Lilac's.

Nautica cologne on a man.

My 5 year old twins when they hug me and kiss me out of the blue.

Thats a few I have many others.

The feeling you get after working out thoroughly - when your skin's rosy & tingly and all your nerves are singing sweetly.

A hot shower, followed by the application of scented body oils, after a really good workout.

My kittie when she comes to me for snuggles (this has already been said, but I had to add it to my list).

The smell of my kittie's fur.

Eucalyptus trees.

The sight, sound, & smell of the ocean.

Foot massage. Well, all massage.

The way babies smell. I don't know why - it just gets me.

Really good buffets.

Really good chocolate.

Having my hair brushed by someone else.

Certain women's voices. I can't explain it, but when certain women talk, especially when they're telling a long story or giving a lecture, it makes me feel lightheaded in a pleasant way, like I want to lie my head in their lap and have them stroke my hair. Some of my college professor's voices I will remember forever (though I can't recall a single thing they said).

Really, really good erotic stories.

Really, really good fiction. Period.

Flowers that smell nice - jasmine, certain roses, narcissus...

Reading posts by other people describing things that make THEM go ummmm...

The feeling of clay in my hands.
Jasmine, roses, lavender.
Beltane.
Beeswax candles.
Dreaming.
My lover's good morning kiss, when he's just waking up.
My daughter's smile.
The Cat's wake-up routine (it's brutal, but it works, and I can smile about it later in the day).
Hot summer days.
Midsummer bonfires.
Lammas wish knots.
Crusty bread, olive oil, and wine.
The conversation and unbridled silliness of friends.

Ok, in no particular order...

Thinking back to the day each of my children were born

Sitting w/SO in front of a fireplace on a cold night wrapped in nothing but a fuzzy blanket.

Campfires, burnt marshmallows and s'mores

The aroma of chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven

Waking up in the arms of SO

Chocolate - My weakness

Listening to a man speak in French (YUM!)

Soft kisses on the back of my neck

Umm...there's probably more, but that's all I could come up with for now.

- The smell of freshly cut hay on a spring or summer morning

- Freshly cut grass

- Waking up in the mountains to the smell of fresh brewed coffee

- My little four year old niece when she sees me. This is the one that always gets me the most. I don't get the opportunity to see her very often, so she doesn't know me very well. And has always been shy around me. Six months ago I was sitting around with my family talking, and she was being shy as usual..Eyeing me from a distance, probably trying to figure this one out. Anyways, i'm sitting there visiting when all of sudden i get hit on the side of my face.. I was startled, whipped my head around to see what it was, and there was my little niece with a look of fear on her face with tears welling up in her eyes..she had been trying to get my attention and in trying to do so had thrown a little stuffed animal at me...She was so shocked, I guess, at me being startled that she was ready to cry...EVerybody else was laughing at the whole thing, but as I saw how upset she was, I reached out to her and took a hold of her and gave her a big hug....

Well, wouldn't you know it, she just wrapped her arms around my neck and wouldn't let go...My heart just melted at that..

Ever since that time, whenever she sees me, she now comes running and wants to be held...There is nothing in the world quite like a the love of a little child...

Most memorable things...
biggrin.gif

Oh there's so many, but here's a few.

- Standing in my garden admirering the view, early in the morning after being up all night.

- Playing live in front of a lively audience.

- The feeling of creating when I'm composing

- Female singers.

- The gentle touch of a woman.

- Giving a girl a body tequila. (I go nuts when they lick my chest clean
biggrin.gif
)

- Lying arm in arm with a girl. (I can stay that way forever it seems)

That was just a few of them.

--walking into Starbucks and getting hit with that intense ground coffee aroma
--the smell in the fruit and vegetable section of the supermarket

--someone brushing my hair for me (Yeah, Laurel!)
--when my son draws a picture for me
--when one of my sons puts a silly sticker on my shirt and says, “That means I love you.”

Things that made/make me go “Whoo hoo!”
--being done with finals in college
--making the Dean’s List
--getting my story posted on Literotica
--getting “fan mail” from people who read my story
--my kid getting some sort of award at school
--getting past that accident on the freeway that caused the horrendous back-up

* Waking up to the alarm clock and then realizing that you have a day off and you don't really have to get up!

* purple Lilacs! (They smell so much better than the white ones!)

* Lindor truffle chocolates (anyone else ever had these? If you're a chocoholic, find these and try them. I guarantee you'll go "MMMMMMMMMNNNNNNNNNNN!"

* What is it about having one's hair washed and/or brushed? (Just kinda makes you want to thump your leg like a dog would, eh?)

* Thunderstorms.

* Thoughts of my best friend.

* Watching someone sleep and/or wake up from sleeping.
