Getting a soppy text message from my gf.
Getting anonymous feedback that just says "Fuckin' brilliant."

Those are the two that have got me already this morning. How about you lot?

The Earl

A 'feel good smile' - none.

A 'warning: please set beverage down first' post in the AH - tooooooo many.

:D

A personal theory - Earl, the world looks fuckin' brilliant to you nowadays 'cos you're half in love. Enjoy it.
And I meant that in a nice way. :)

I awoke to this e-mail from my wife, she is in Uk I'm in Portugal, she has been reading extracts from my NaNo novel.

"Bloody heck your writing has made me very horny, meu doce amor!

Can you stretch a finger all the way from there and reach me????

xxxxxxxxxx me......o teu amor"

Luckily she arrives Thursday. Notice her literary style, a combination of Yorkshire and Portuguese.

Made my day :D

Will's

An I love you message from my sweetheart waiting for me when I woke up, and a phone call from the furnace guy saying my house would be warm by the time I get home from work. One or the other would have done it.....both together is heaven. *smiles*

Whisper

My kitty has gotten what us Swedes call "tuppjuck", meaning she's flipped out temporarily.

She runs back and forth, meowing constantly, either chasing imaginary mice or being chased herself by imaginary monsters. Every other minute, she stops, sitting on top of the back support of the sofa, stares around for enemies, then dive headfirst to the floor, crawls halfway under the carpet, meows again, and runs for cover under my bed.

Excuse me, I've got a box of Whiskas to study...

My daughters shouting "I love you, Mummy" as they ran across the playground into school this morning. :)

A text message from my dear friend, just saying 'thanks', which made me cry. Can't explain why or what for, but it meant more to me than anyone can imagine.

The antics of my three cats
A sweet e-mail from an online friend
rhino's efforts to keep me off Lit and busy at work (at my request)

This one from TheEarl:

Gimmie a break, I just woke up.
That did it for me, and picturing Svenska's cat (fyi, I do not like cats).

If a certain intelligent and sexy bloke pays attention to me today I'll grin wide.

Perdita

Things that have put a smile on my face today:

Going out for coffee with a very close friend who I haven't seen for years.

Other than that, not much - but then I only just woke up a short time ago. I'm sure it'll get better as my day goes on

I've lowered my demands. I'll settle for "sexy".:(
No, no, no, Svenskaya! Be strong (or you'll regret it).

Feedback on a story from someone I admire very much.

Dad making coffee before I got up so it was the first thing I smelled this morning.

A sunrise that only God himself could have painted.

Flicka,

House cats do get the crazies quite frequently, although it is usually in the evening.

Friday gets them almost every night, always within fifteen minutes (either way) of 9PM local time.

It is just their way of expending excess energy. Since they do not have to expend energy chasing, capturing, and killing their food, this energy builds up.

Before the day ends, they blow that energy off, then they are ready to go to sleep for the night.
;)

Gawd, I had not realized til now - that's how I get when I haven't had sex for x-days. Duh!

Perdita (relieved to know I'm not crazy.)

Hmm

I guess...knowing that I am mostly done with my PhD program, for better or worse. (Whether I get the PhD or not is another story. ;)

Being able to tell a friend that he'd given me an STD...a Sucky Typing Disease.

Having another friend randomly check up on me because of my freakish behavior recently.

Having someone call to tell me that he'd like to go see FotR with me tomorrow night...whee!

Hey, my day hasn't been as crappy as I was thinking!

Mhari, isn't that the most priceless thing? I too have a couple special friends who know the 'signs' and will pop up at just the right time to save my life. I feel so lucky that way, you must too.

Perdita

Hmmm let's see...

It's almost 7.30am here. Things that have made me smile so far...

Shower time. ;)

Putting my new specs on. ;)

Looping my Santa earrings on. :)

Remembering Santa is coming to work twice today. ;)

Thinking about what I might well be getting up to tomorrow. ;)

Checking out my PM box. :)

Catching up with the AH and enjoying the giggles of this thread. :)

Hmmm, I guess I smile a fair bit eh. :D

It IS evening here. It's 7.25 pm.

Being called "brilliant" (x3) and "awesome" all in the one thread.

Wearing my santa hat a work all day, and on until Christmas eve.

Having one of my 'clients' being especially nice this afternoon when she usually won't even look me in the face.

Having the youngest lad attempt 'hiya dad' in response to my greeting when I arrive home.

Seeing 'our lass' again after 8 hours away.

Gauche

an extra 2 "brilliants" elsewhere were especially well received

Oh, I really really do. And I am blessed by having a number of those wonderful people in my life. I think I'd be having a nervous breakdown right about now, if it weren't for them.
