I know at times we are all classified to a name here depending on which board you prefer to be at. But at the end of the day and after we sign off, we are all still members of Literotica. Some agree to agree, some disagree to agree and others well they just keep on disagreeing to disagree.

But what happens after the sun goes down and things go bump in the night that can't be explained. or can they? So i though it might make for a interesting discussion as to what it could be.... I know there probably will be some senseless stupid replies that will make us laugh and then others that will have us going hmmmmm.

I do not believe in ghosts (at least not the traditional kind) but my jury is still out on monsters. Vampires scare the shit out of me. Not the sparkly kind or the sexy kind, the evil monster, rip you to shreds to get your blood kind. Nasty fellows. I like to believe they are not real but at night alone my belief has some issues.

I have an old house, parts around 100 years. Being home 24/7 the last 5 weeks, I hear things constantly. I look and find nothing. I imagine it's mostly structural adjustment.

But, who knows.

You think that is weird.. We bought this land about 15 years ago and it use to be farm land way out in the county. You can be sitting in the house and outside we swear we can like a car door close. but when you look outside, nobody is there but our cars and trucks.

Other friends of ours have heard it also and got up and looked outside. We have put a few trail camera's for shit and giggles, but still haven't manged to find out the source of the noise. Nor one car door that has gotten opened or closed on camera.

If the house is over 100 years and still settling. Sooner or later it has to quit? How many years does it take for a house to quit settling?

It's balloon construction on a hand dug foundation. When the wind blows it sways back and forth.

My sister, brother in-law, and their 2 young children moved into a 3 story house in Northern NY. The house was built pre civil war. They decided that the third floor was not going to be used so they allowed the young children to use it as their play area, with an understanding, all toys would be put away each evening. All went well for a while and one morning my sister went to the 3rd floor and toys were scattered all over the place. When she confronted the kids they swore they had picked up before bed. Being a good Mom, she believed them. That night after they went to bed she checked. All toys were put away. The following morning toys strewn everywhere. A couple nights later she heard toys being played with late at night and checked on the kids. Both were in bed. The local priest was called in for a blessing of the house. The "issues" stopped. True story! Sleep well folks!!
