ADVISORY/Couple Takes Vows Clad in Duck Tape
First Ever ``Duck'' Tape Wedding Complete with Designer Duck Tape Wedding Dress, Tuxedo, Cake Decorations and Flower Arrangements

[On] Saturday [9/29], in the heart of Hollywood, one
lucky couple is making fashion history: Kevin Thomas and
his fiancee, Joyce Lotta, will be married in Duck-brand
duct tape wedding attire, surrounded by Duck Tape(R)
blooms and even a Duck Tape cake.

Well-known fashion designer Brian McKinney created the
Duck Tape bridal gown and tuxedo jacket. The pastor's
shawl is also fashioned from Duck Tape. Canadian sculptor
Todd Scott designed the Duck Tape floral bouquets for the
bride and bridesmaids, as well as the other floral
decorations for this unconventional ceremony. Even a Duck
Tape wedding cake has been readied (in addition to an
edible cake). Appropriately, the couple's first dance song
will be "Stuck on You" by Lionel Richie.

The happy couple had the winning entry in the "Stuck On
You" contest sponsored by the makers of Duck Tape. Most of
the 75 wedding guests are flying in from out of town --
many from the New York area. NOTE: The couple had
considered postponing the wedding due to concerns about
guests and family members flying into LA from New York.
The courage of the family was bolstered, however, when
Joyce's relative, Sal D'Agostino, a New York City
firefighter, called her and encouraged the couple to keep
Sept. 29 as the wedding date.

I THINK YOU MEAN DUCT TAPE

But either way, what a couple of lucky ducts they are.

Universal has a history of staging media attention stunts like this at their studio, so I'm wondering if they had a hand in this.

(When Jurassic Park the Ride opened a helicopter flew over Studio City dangling a crate which had been "Broken open" by a T-Rex sticking his head out, and all the local media snapped up footage and reported that it was being brought to Universal City. The T-Rex was a model not used in the ride, and not seen anywhere on the lot. Total publicity stunt. I'm thinking Universal's got a movie coming out called "Duct Soup".)
