What movies can you think of where the writer/director missed a good opportunity to insert a sex scene (and loose his PG/R rating)?



I was watching "2010: The Year We Make Contact" last weekend and noticed a golden opportunity to insert a sex scene!

The situation: Approaching Jupiter at full speed, the Russian spacecraft will pass very close to use friction with Jupiter's atmosphere to slow down. The technique is untested, and they expect to be tossed about by turbulence and inertia.

The movie scene: Dr. Heywood Floyd (Roy Scheider) is hastily visited by a (very cute) female Russian cosmonaut who lays down next to him, frightened. He holds her during the deceleration, and she kisses his cheek as she leaves him.


The alternative Sexy Scene: Sensing her fear, he presses her full against his body and kisses her deeply. Her fear, mixed with her distant attraction to Floyd and her lack of a recent sexual partner, gives her an urber turn-on. Floyd's hand goes into her pants, and as she lays pressed against him by inertia and with the ship vibrating from the turbulence, she orgasms non-stop. I don't think that would have hurt the plot, and certainly would have been well in the spirit of things!
