They Gave the Crack Pots a Seat at the Table


gsgs comment- I have been witness to all sorts of crack-pots, in real flesh life. Garden variety of raving-loons, grandpas yelling at clouds, lost souls muttering to themselves. Over-the- line fanatics, obsessed about something.



Some of the crack-pots were entertainment figures, invented characters, portrayed by actors or comedians.


Crack-Pots could be harmless, silly figures. Plenty of newspaper cartoon strips featured eccentric people. Comic books had them, too. TV crack-pots were amusing or scarey.


A crack-pot owned a newspaper, across the border from MA. The New Hampshire Union Leader newspaper printed articles with peculiar ideas. The deluded crack-pot was convinced by War Propaganda, to believe in conspiracy theories.


The newspaper owner had bought himself a seat at the table.


Sane people do not take crack-pot ideas seriously.

The evil side of crack-pots emerged before I was born. Sen. Joe McCarthy was not only given a seat at the table, he was given power to ruin people's lives.


2016 the evil side of crack-pots, was once, again, put to political use.

You might well ask, "why did gsgs start this thread ?" Today, I clicked through my TV channels, before the Rose Parade began. My ears were snagged on a phrase that comes from The Other Side of Alice in Wonderland's Looking Glass.

Some fucker was spewing evil garbage, that was getting broadcasted in New England.

The past few years, TV channels have been popping into existence. Some are fun, some are tedious, some are *eye-roll* Evangelical Christian channels. It was only recently, that "big name" mega-churches were given airtime. They certainly can afford the fees for airtime, to give them access to more "donors."

Now, the crack-pots have been given a TV channel to spew everything they wish.



Normally, crack-pots were laughed at, and they drew back to their lairs under rocks.

Along came Trump.


Trump bought himself a seat at the table. But, the major media outlets could have marginalized Trump.


There was a place for Trump- the tabloids.
Scandal sheets.
The crime pages.

They gave Trump reality TV shows.
(I could not stand him. Did not watch.)

The Wall Street Journal was once a legitimate newspaper. Now it has been corrupted and tainted.

Many newspapers have failed, and unscrupulous people bought them out and re-purposed them for propaganda purposes.

The worst, is that major TV executives gave propaganda a seat at the table. They hired FOX TV "personalities," so the crack-pots would feel welcome at their "tables."

What did television executives learn ? Corruption rewards the corrupted, with enormous amounts of money.

Why protect and safe guard the values and ideals of America, if evil can grant great wealth ?

(For all that Americans know, these tiny, low powered TV channels could be fronts for Russian trolls. Putin's dirty Russian crime money has corrupted many, all over the world. The banks just shrug.)
