Excuse me for venting right now, but I just received some nasty reviews on my latest story. If it was about the way it waswritten, I would understand it. But t' not. I wrote a series about a woman who cheats on her husband. I'm not encouraging anyone to cheat, but it's a story. Annd to get "feedback" callin my character a whore and a slut. I'm relatively sure I know who wrote them, but of course they don't have the nerve to write their email address or even their names. I dealt with them before earlier in the series.

Seriously, if you don't like something, NO one is forcing anyone to read them. I don't like stories about non consent, I don't read them.

It just bothers me. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

The same thing has happened to me. People assume that because you wrote it then you must be exactly like the characters in your story. They are just stupid, ignorant asshole cocksuckers that need to get a life.

Don't get so stressed dark & kelly, take it as a compliment that they got deep enough into your story to take it seriously, had you written an unbelievable load of crap they wouldn't have responded.

Some people who read erotica don't have a life as we know it, they sink into the stories and that's their life, sympathise folks.

No, I don't think it was too much. In fact, I agree. Sadly most people who critique stories like that can't even write them. So they have to trash other people. I'm not saying I'm a great writer, but I expected a little better reaction to this. I had received email from other people who wanted me to continue the story.
