Do you know the thermometer thing beside the 'post a comment' area where you can choose one of five options from 'Didn't like it' to 'Loved it'?

I would guess some people rely on this guage for varying reasons. Does using that guage alter the voting stats at all?

It seems you HAVE to have one of the five options. Does leaving the default setting of 50 alter any other statistics?

I would like to be able to comment without messing up the hopes/dreams/needs of other people.

I think it's like this:

If you have already voted, the thermometer doesn't affect the score.
If you haven't voted, that will be registered as your vote.

So RVC (Read Vote Comment) in that order, and you'll be fine.
