After Bach died in 1750 his oeuvre vanished until Mendelssohn found about 1/2 of the scores at a Leipzig fish market in 1843. They wrapped fish with the old sheets. Mendelssohn reconstructed a few lost compositions from Bachs notes, but a bit less than half remains lost.

This treasure was reconstructed from shards.

So take criticism with a grain of salt.

Bach's fate is no ka. He was MVP in the ALL STARS FOR ALL TIMES and his friends and family tossed his treasures in the trash. What hope is there for anyone!

When King got rejected yet again he was so disgusted he threw "Carrie" in the trash and was going to go look for a real job.

His wife pulled the manuscript out of the trash and resubmitted it to one of the publishers who this time accepted it.

Now see today he would have deleted the doc and she could not have done that.

Then again these days the publishing industry consists of more than a couple of dozen dinks deciding what everyone should read.
