There was nothing irregular about Harris' nomination. If Biden, having won the primaries, had simply died, no one would have suggested a new round of primaries was necessary. The situation that actually eventuated was no different. It certainly does not mean the Democratic Party does not deserve the name.

Exactly. She was already elected VP she didn’t just show up out of nowhere. If Biden had dropped out or passed away earlier, nobody would’ve demanded a whole new primary. That’s not how it works. Acting like this was some shady “installment” is just folks reaching.

Meanwhile, the GOP’s out here closing polling places, purging voters, and redrawing maps like it’s Mario Kart.
