So what's with the sig line? I run IE, and... it's so anti-climactic!

What version of IE?

It should make everything wide and bug you.

Ah.

I have one of the newer versions... no wide sig line showing up here, my dear.

Thank you Guru and red_rose, you two have inspired me to new PWP technology heights! This even renders in mozilla!

Did you know that Bill Gates is a registered Democrat, and his father has written editorials in SUPPORT of the estate tax?

did you know he does not plan to leave all of his fortune to his kids? he thinks people should earn their money, not inherit it.

Still... Registered or not.. He's made several "Contributions" to Bush and other key republicans that have lead for MS to get a slap on the wrist. Gates is not the idiot I make him out to be, he's smart in many regards. He knows how the system works and he's willing to play both sides.. Which side was willin to play more is obvious.. But if I was in his situation, I'd do that same damn thing.

As for the estate tax.. Honestly... It doesn't affect him as much as you'd think. Number one, he can't benefit from it. Number Two, by arguing for the estate tax, he's setting himself to look like another Rockafeller upon his death (Which, I should mention, adjusting for inflation, he has STILL not matched Rockafeller's wealth)

However, I STILL maintain that Paul Allen put BASIC on the Altair 8088, not gates.

a la Rockafeller.

However... He really won't be seen as a Rockafeller much to his dismay? Why?

When you donate Windows machines to a library, those machines will need upgrading.. That leads to more Windows sales, leading to a larger reporting of market share, which increases stock prices.
