Chloe Sparano had gone through the worst six months of her life not only emotionally but physically as well. She had an aspiring dancing career waiting in the wings after having gone through the many auditions to finally get the lead role in the stunning new play "Life of a Rockette." At that time, she was soo excited to get the role that Chloe and her girlfriend at the time had gone out to a nightclub to celebrate. Drink after drink in celebration had the two girls having the best time of their lives but when it came time to close the bar, Chloe had walk home like she should. Her girlfriend was walking slowly behind her and as they walked a couple of blocks away from the club, the event that would change Chloe’s life forever had happened.
She was crossing the street with her light turned green but the driver of an Impala had decided to run the light... and didn't see Chloe. The impact from being run over hit her bottom back, cracking her lower vertebrae and... eventually surgery after surgery had left her paralyzed from the waist down.
After being paralyzed, Chloe's girlfriend had left her after not being able to take care of Chloe's basic needs. Though Chloe could feel her waist and everything around it, she could not feel anything else below that and that had dropped her into a deep depression.
Each time she had gone to the hospital to get her weekly physical therapy sessions done, she was always very abrasive towards the hospital staff there. She had always shouted obscenities towards the staff, not being receptive towards the treatment... of course when her therapists were always male, it had made Chloe resent that and always think that they were just there to see what was left of her once beautiful body.
She had always thought that no one would understand what it was like to have her life taken away and to be stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of her life... no one would give her the compassion that she had wanted and today was no different... at least she had thought.
As she had wheeled herself into the physical therapy section of the hospital, she was greeted by the receptionist there and it was then that three was an interesting development.
"Miss Sparano? Mr. Jones can not take your case anymore." The receptionist had said in her business-like tone.
"Good. Maybe this therapist won't be such a jerk towards me. Where is the new room?" Chloe had said rolling her eyes. This was something that she had experienced before, since now she was on her fifth therapist in the six months since the accident. The receptionist had told Chloe where the room was and as she had wheeled herself to the door and opened it, there was the telltale crash and bang of her chair hitting the door as she had entered.
"Damnit! Why won't these doors stay open for me? Stupid hospital laws." She muttered herself as she had entered the door. She had no idea that things were about to change for her when...
