Are you a talker? As in let it all hang out and share your problems because a problem shared is a problem halved.

Or maybe you have a therapist or a bartender that lends you an ear as long as you're buying?

Or are you a bottler? As in bottle up your feelings and hope you don't erupt.

What do you do when you're stressed or you feel like life is kicking your ass?

I think pet therapy is brilliant. Especially with a cat. They pretend to be listening and giving you their full attention when really all they're hearing is...

"Poor me boohoo."

And they're wondering how long it will be before you finish having a hissy fit and open the fridge. :D

Lets chat. Or not. :)

The demons are the strange lime green drinks served in uniquely shaped salty rimmed glasses.

At some point, demons need to be squarely faced, kicked square in the nuts, and then given the old Bloody Eagle.

Telling my ills to my cat is cruel and totally unfair to the cat. Getting out the laser pointer, on the other hand . . . he sits and waits for that shit.

I don't need to be psycho-analyzed. I'm the world's leading expert on me.

I do need to be available to people who want held and are willing to do something. Everyone else is just bitching about bullshit.

I have a counselor. He's pretty low key and a good match for me. I also talk (like, a lot) to my close friends. I'm a good listener, too.

Bottling up makes me sick.

There is no coping with demons, only balance. Demons never completely leave. You always have some degree of control.

My Confessor hears it all.

In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti

Amen

Forgiveness does not get rid of demons. It wipes the slate clean, to some degree, but the evil still lives inside.

You have to make peace with the fuckers. Feed them cheesecake.

But penance can be so much fun.

I think the cheesecake is making them stronger.

I graduated a 180 hour Masters Degree in Rehabillitation, including all the coursework for a psychology Masters Degree and Vocational Rehab. We trained for brain trauma, addictions, and psychiatric disability.

It was akin to Marine Corps Drill Sergeant training. Get off your ass and on your feet.

Snowflakes hate it but it puts you behind the wheel of your life.

That inter-species symbiosis and friendship is so peculiar and such a blessing.
What would life be without dogs… .
