Themed Contest Off-Topic Discussion

I don't understand the purpose of this thread. Seems like baiting. Why worry what Elfin does.

Basically, every post on the first page was removed from the Winter Contest Support Thread due to being volatile and off-topic.

Nothing to see here. Let snarky comments die.

...no-no-no-no-no. there's also lesbian porn.

There's also furry vore, and tentacles, and...

But I don't think any of those would be as good contest entries as lesbian.

Back to the topic of this thread:

Is there any point in PennLady and I starting the support threads for contests? The arguments about the contests' validity, and the infighting are nearly as predictable as the support threads themselves. And have been a feature of many of the contest threads for years.

Sigh. I suppose they warn new authors what to expect if they write and post a contest story.

I've found the support threads to be of great value and, yes, support.

The weird, the conspiratorial, and the negative are part of any online group. And less here than on many forums. But the support, the purpose of your threads, is there too, and worth continuing.

I happen to think that calling out an habitual "easy button" fraudulent attempt to be "one of the group" IS being supportive of those actually putting the effort into contributing stories. I think the deadbeats should be pointed out to those actually doing the work and taking the risks.

I think people care too much about "winning" and "losing."

I don't think that's relevant to what I'm posting (while it may be true). I'm talking about trying to pretend that you actually are a participant (and expert) when you're not--when you're paid no dues on that claim. Just an Internet game for the gullible.

And in this case, we'll just have to see if, after years of saying what she's working on for the contests but hasn't submitted anything to a contest for nine and a half years, Elfin carries through--finally--and thus ends her drone status.

Still find it hilarious they have an "ah mod" now and are worried about off topic/personal attacks here,

But the biggest cesspool on this site, the GB still has no mod. I mean why mod the forum that has the most bullies/stalkers and personal attacks this side of reddit?

Oh, right, the aforementioned is the owners favorite forum and they don't want to block or ban their friends.
