The writer, (Erica Jong) must have had a brainwave at the time of coming up with that term. What do I think? I think it's a great idea, providing you're attracted to the other but why it's called 'Zipless' isn't clear to me. Suppose what I am trying to point out is, after the sexually liberating attitudes of the late 60s and 70s, in today's world, is it relevant or accepted to just go up to a man/woman you see and find attractive and ask what they think about going Zipless?

Would most women even understand what the term meant if they didn't know in advance? Would most guys know, for that matter?

I would just like to say that as a man who was born in 1979, long after the Sexual Revolution was over, I understand the term "Zipless Fuck" and I value it. If any beautiful woman in the world came up to me asking for one, I would gladly give it to them. I just hope it would be possible. I too am a big fan of Erica Jong's work.

I'm confused now because I thought when I read the book that the zipless part was more crucial to the concept than casualness. I thought in the story she was talking about zipless as no embarassing fumbling (e.g. zippers getting stuck). It was sex where the clothes just drop off and every move is right and graceful and sexy. In other words, porn sex. Sex we'd all like to have it is unachievable.

That's the way I remember it from the book but I guess I skewed it into my own meaning. I like mine better.
