It seems it is how they find out things about people they are interested in liking or maybe hating, hell i don't know. But they go on social media and look for this person or that to find out about them. It amuses me, but I don't really understand the concept when they could just ask.

Any opinions or experiences?

(No, I don't think this is something that ever occurred to me to do, and I'm just not that interested in most people :eek: )

...because they don't want the person to know they have a crush on them?

When have young people ever been comfortable with "just asking" in that scenario?
 
i learned several people's real names from here because facebook is evil and some people are really bad at using privacy settings. don't worry. i'm not that weird and i've pretty much forgotten them all, anyway.

and then i quit facebook because begging people to be your internet friend is icky. i seriously couldn't bring myself to do it. yeah, i am that weird. it's a thin line, but it exists.
